Beaker Family - Chapter 2

Welcome back after our brief hiatus. This week we will be paying a visit to the Beaker Family. As you may remember, the last time we visited them there was a bit of drama taking place between Loki and Circe and Nervous. Things have calmed down somewhat and now we will hand it over to Mitchell who will fill us in on what has taken place.

Hi. I'm Mitchell Beaker. My mom is Circe and my dad is Loki. My dad says that mom left us. He said she didn't love us anymore and so she left. I'm not so sure I believe him but then again he says he loves me but I don't know about that either. I'm in school now but when I was a toddler I did a lot of playing by myself. I talked a lot to Mr. Wobbly Head. He was my only friend because my dad wasn't around a lot.

He hired this lady to take care of me because he was so busy with work but she didn't do a very good job. I'd fall asleep on the floor and dream about bottles from my mom. I know I shouldn't but sometimes I wish I was with my mom. Sometimes I think she would take care of me better than by dad but I know it's bad to think that.
Here I am as kid. I was getting ready to start school. My dad didn't have a birthday party or anything for me. He was too focused on getting his work done and watching the stars. I have red hair and I don't know why. I keep asking my dad but he won't tell me. His hair is blonde, mine is red. I want to know why. Was my mom's hair red? I wish I could remember her.
My dad is gone a lot. He's got something going on at a court he tells me. I'm not sure what it is about but he comes home pretty mad. But since he's been going to the court he's been a little nicer to me. He even had a guy over to get me into this special private school. He told me I was his son and I was too good for public school. I'm not sure what is so bad about public school but Dad says it is so I guess it is.
Anyway, the guy was impressed with Dad and me and accepted me in his school. So Monday I'll have my first day at Area Academy. I'm kinda nervous but my dad says its best so I guess it is.

Aww, Mitchell, it sounds like you've had a rough time.

I guess. I just wish I knew my mom. Hey! Dad says you know everyone in Area 62 and talk to them. Have you talked to my mom.

::looks down at feet:: Um, yeah, I have talked to your mom.

You have! Can you tell me about her? Do you know why she left us?

Oh I'm sorry kiddo. I really wish I could, but that's not what I do.

Oh.

Sorry, I can't interfere like that. I'll do what I can though.
