Grunt Family - Chapter 2

This week our visits in Area 62 will take us to the home of the Grunt Family. Last time we saw them General Buzz's two oldest sons, Tank and Ripp, had left for college, leaving the General home with his youngest son Buck. This week Buck will tell us about what has happened since we last visited.

So not a whole lot happened while Tank and Ripp were off at college. I mean you know what happened with my dad and the maid and then me and Brandi right? But since then not much has happened. I got a job working in a mailroom at a company downtown. It kinda stinks but I can use the extra money plus they have a scholarship program for executive assistants so I'm trying to get that position to help out with college.

As you know, before I was kinda hanging out with Brandi Charvat. And I mean I still like her and all but then Jill Smith grew up. And MAN! She became hot. I like Brandi and all but Jill and I have a, you know, history. We've kind of started to go steady. I haven't told Brandi yet but I will. It's hard cause they're both totally hot and Jill loves it when I hug her and kiss her neck. It kinda drives her crazy. But I do still like Brandi so I don't know what to do.

It seemed like the time for Tank to be at school went by real fast because soon it was time for him to move back home. I wasn't real thrilled about Tank coming back home. I never really had a problem with Tank before but he's just so crabby all the time that I wasn't sure how things would go. But here he is when he got home. He's finally decided to stop wearing that stupid face paint. It was not flattering.
After college Tank got a job working for the military doing some counter intelligence stuff. Dad is real proud of him. He says he's glad he has at least one son he can be proud of. I just let that comment go. That's what you have to do with my dad sometimes, just let stuff go. But anyway, Tank got this big signing bonus deal and bought this spiffy car. I might have to borrow it sometime to take out Brand--I mean Jill.
Okay, okay, I admit. I do still see Brandi from time to time. I'm really not meaning to string her along but she seems to like me so much. I just can't stand to think about breaking her heart. I know its wrong but I don't want to hurt her. Besides she says she going away to some school out of the country for college and I'll probably go to La Fiesta Tech. I'm sure it will all just work itself out in the end.
So I have to tell you this because I think its real funny. Dad was getting on Tank's case about getting married and having kids. He says that Tank needs to have a son to pass on the tradition of General Grunts. Well, Tank didn't have any girls he was real interested in. I guess in college he gave Virginia up to Ripp so he called up with crazy old gypsy lady who was supposed to have great insight into people and relationships. He paid this old coot A LOT of money to find his perfect girl, right? So she shows up and looks into her crystal ball.
I know, its so hokey. Dad wasn't real happy about how much he paid but anyway, you know who the gypsy sends Tank on a date with? Some pregnant chick who is already engaged to someone else! I thought it was hilarious but Tank and Dad didn't think so.
So needless to say Tank's blind date attempt didn't work out so well. Oh and I took this picture of my dad and Tank shortly after Tank got home. Its kind of amazing to see how much they look alike. Tank is definitely my father's son.
Well, the time has come for me to go to college. I've graduated from high school, I've got a few scholarships and I'm off to La Fiesta Tech. Don't I look very scholarly? Jill says she'll be going there soon too. Brandi is off to Academie Le Tour so I probably won't see her again. See, the problem worked itself out.
Oh yeah, and my dad became an elder. Here he is. He's got some awful clothes though.


Oh my. Yes he does. Did he get some new ones?

Yeah he did. Well, I'm off. I've got class soon!
